“At all times, people are doing one of two things. They’re showing love. Or they’re crying out for it.”
We are now in the second story of the "Pas De Deux" Collection. The sin "lust" takes center stage in the antebellum south as we meet the southern bell Rose; who unfortunately is discovered to be having an affair.
Unlike the other stories in the collection, this story is actually written in first person. This is because it is based off a real person (name changed of course). Rose is a funny, sassy and misunderstood woman who loves her wine. I knew someone like that and felt comfortable enough to be able to be in her head and know how she would feel, what she would say. Its a story of jealously. A story of lust. A story of regret. A story of love that will last a lifetime.
